                  Samples of “nui” shibori

Workshop: Independent Study with Nui Shibori
This class will focus on the stitch in shibori. Individuals will explore, experiment and examine their personal interests in this medium. Participants are welcome to bring their own pieces, projects, challenges or questions for discussion or experimentation. All levels are welcome.

Possible products: pages for a sampler book on shibori stitching, a simple stitch sampler and similar items. Students should bring small scissors, thimble, measuring tape and fabric-type markers and may also bring their own cloth choices. Bring dishwashing-type gloves and dress appropriately for the dye studio. Also bring a bag lunch and drink. Supply list available on Sertoma’s webpage. $25 supply fee due to instructor at start of workshop.

      Is West Jefferson within reach for you? I gave a workshop at the Florence Thomas Art School this summer and hope to get back to the same area – at some point – probably next year.
