The piece references another that I may or may not have mentioned earlier. It’s on my flickr site and the imagery is hands in Katano shibori dyed in indigo. I’ve since learned it’s African. It has held intrigue (like many others) and thought to at least attempt Katano again. I’ve ‘played’ with it before, but not to my satisfaction.

The “kabocha” – squash – pumpkins…obviously it’s seasonal and I also have a lovely deep orange red and green kabocha from The Produce Box sitting on my kitchen counter. It probably wants to be eaten but I’m enjoying its color.
