Today’s N&O features an article and photography by Takaaki Iwabu, originally from Yokohama, and currently lives in Raleigh. He recently returned from Japan where he documented the aftermath of the earthquake and also visited family.

    thanks for the link. i too think the disaster will create a new sense of country in the japanese and that they will push the country forward

      You’re welcome. I found that in talking with my siblings about this disaster, then reading Iwabu’s reaction – it resonated.
