Sunset & Sakura

It feels like they’ve arrived earlier this year, but I can’t be sure. I’ve wondered how they could even bloom this year, considering. Then again, I’ve wondered why the world isn’t at a standstill. It seems it should be, but it can’t. We can’t. I can’t.  We mustn’t actually.

There are things that need attention – prep for workshops and classes (especially with kids), a small but challenging commission which keeps me making (practicing), the garden and more.

These blossoms are one of the the earliest in my garden every year. Because they are  profuse, but so short-lived, I want to savor that bloom time, stand beneath them and take in their pale hues, delicate patterns and inhale their fragrance.
