雪降れば

冬ごもれせる

葉も木も

春に知られぬ

花ぞ咲きける

Yuki fureba

Fuyu gomore seru

ha mo ki mo

haru ni shirarenu

hana zo sakikeru

When the snow crystals

Fall on the sleeping trees and

Grasses there bloom wild

Flowers that are never seen

On branches or stems in spring.
