Snow on Inauguration Day

Snow-branches

I got my wish for Inauguration Day – snow. It seems we so rarely get snow in Raleigh anymore and it was predicted. I’d read 1-2 inches, then I heard 3-6 inches. We got it and schools were closed. It made for a quiet day and I spend most of it focused on those indescribable events in ワシントン/Washington. It just goes without saying….

I thought I might be back in class today with a late start, but schools are still closed due to icy conditions on the roads (mostly in outlying areas). It’s just as well, since my classroom is not the place to be right now. I found out recently that a heat pump controls the temperatures in our pods and when the temps fell last week, the classroom was at 60 degrees all day. That’s how it will be for the rest of the winter, apparently. Still, I am happy for the snow and the short break.
