Sakura & rain

It’s been a good day because it rained. Yesterday it was clear and warm (in the low 80s), so I walked around the lake and took pictures. But today the temps were in the 50s or lower and it rained. On several occasions I went out and took pictures of the tree as the day got darker. I can’t stop taking pictures of this tree. It’s a major event when it blooms. It doesn’t last long enough. The petals start falling as soon as they’re open. This particular picture was taken around 10:30 p. after having watched ゼブラマンZeburaman (Zebraman)a film by Takeshi Miike. It was completely ridiculous but fun.

Other than that, it was a great day for doing shibori (not dyeing), just stitching and binding.
