yatsuhashi can be soft too… raw dough, i guess. with a bean filling and cinnamon… I love them!!! my favorite Omiyage from Kyoto!!!

What a shame, but perhaps there’s an upside to that? Once those leaves have dropped, there goes the color. It can get moody. Then again, there is beauty in the starkness of it (reference Charles Burchfield).
